I’m Harold Martinez, an Emmy Award–winning broadcast editor working in breaking news, longform storytelling, and fast-paced programming.

For more than a decade, I’ve worked on national coverage under live deadline pressure, cutting for World News Tonight, Good Morning America, and CBS Evening News. My work has contributed to three Emmy Awards with the World News Tonight team, along with White House Press Award–winning coverage of January 6 alongside Jon Karl.

I’ve always been drawn to the edit. That moment when structure, pacing, and instinct turn raw material into something clear and real. That part hasn’t changed. The stakes have.

I studied Film and Video Production at the City College of New York, where I found my place in post. While others chased the camera, I stayed in the room where the story comes together. My first professional job came in 2002. I’ve been working steadily ever since. These days I work across Avid, Premiere, and DaVinci Resolve, whatever the project calls for. The tools change.
